Antibacterials, also known as antibacterial agents, are chemical compounds that can kill, eliminate, or inhibit the growth of bacteria. They can be natural or synthetic, and work by targeting specific components of bacterial cells, such as their cell walls, cell membranes, or DNA, and disrupting their normal functions.
Some examples of antibacterial agents are antibiotics, antiseptics, disinfectants, and sanitizers.
