Antiparkinson agents are a group of chemical compounds that are used to treat Parkinson’s disease, a neurological disorder that affects movement. Parkinson’s disease is caused by a deficiency of dopamine in the brain, which is a neurotransmitter that helps control movement.

Antiparkinson agents can work by either increasing the amount of dopamine in the brain or by mimicking the effects of it.
