JAK/STAT signalling is a pathway that is activated by a variety of extracellular signalling molecules, such as cytokines, growth factors, and hormones and has a critical role regulating many cellular processes, including immune function, cell growth, and differentiation. When the pathway is activated the signalling molecule bind to an specific cell surface receptors, which activate the JAK tyrosine kinases.
